Make up setting spray - Yay or Nay?

Answers your burning questions on make-up setting spray. Do I need it in my beauty routine? Which make-up spray is best suited for my skin?

Make-up setting sprays are definitely helpful in keeping your make-up intact for long hours. If you don't have time to touch up your make-up during the day then this is your go to product. While I think this is not a must have in your beauty routine it definitely helps to retain that morning make-up glow towards the end of the day.

Setting sprays can be used before applying makeup, during and after. It blends your make-up well and adds a veil of hydration that gently falls on your skin. Setting sprays can also be used to hydrate your skin, reduce the oil on your skin, give your skin a boost of glow. There is a spray for every need.

After researching on numerous products, here are my top picks...

Recommended for sensitive skin

I would recommend this for sensitive skin since it worked really well for my sensitive skin. Maybe because it contains coconut oil and coconut oil is something my skin is use to. Again this might not be the case for everyone. If you have never used coconut oil before or this product, I recommend you first do a patch test before using.

This product has quickly become one of my favorite products. In fact I didn't think I needed to add any kind of face spray to my routine. But after using it I just love it and it still keeps my make-up intact after 5-6 hrs (#dreamproduct #makeup).

Recommended for oily to combination skin

The product definitely gives you an amazing dewy- fresh look after spraying and does a good job of keeping your make-up intact at the end of the day.The smell is also amazing, a nice flowery smell. It is gentle on your skin, not too abrasive though it geared more towards oily to combination skin so I am holding it off for now.

It is a good fixer for your end of day tired look, one spray and it gives your face an immediate glow.

Recommended for normal to dry skin

I am a big fan of Farsali's serums I thought I would give their setting spray a try. Overall the product does a good job of keeping your make-up on for long hours, it has a great smell and the spray nozzle is really good. Most other sprays make you feel like you are spraying water or not spray anything. This product makes you feel like you are spraying a refreshing mist and does not leave clumps of dots after applying your make-up. Though I feel this product is more for normal to dry skin so I have put it off for now.

Recommended for that heavy party look or a date night look

This was one of the first setting sprays I bought. I have been a huge fan of their eye palettes so I thought why not try this. The product does a fantastic job of keeping heavy and normal make-up intact. However I am not a big fan of the spray, it leaves clumps of dots on your skin when you spray it after your make-up and I am not a fan of the packaging.
