Wishful Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub
When I first bought this product I wasn’t sure if it would work on my skin since most scrubs are harsh on my dry sensitive skin. Plus the product contains alcohol which is a complete no for me. But having read so many great reviews from people with the same skin type I decided to give it a try.
The packaging on a whole is ok. The box in which it comes was very tightly packed, I was struggling to open it. Eventually I had to tear open the box.
The instructions on the pack says that you should use it on dry skin which is quite different from the other scrubs, which expect you to apply it on wet/damp skin. It also says apply a generous amount. When they say generous they really mean generous. You need to apply quite a bit of the product to really feel and see it removing the dead skin and impurities.
The product contains pineapple fruit extract, papaya enzymes, cellulose, AHAs BHA which gently exfoliate your skin.
The texture of the product is soothing and creamy. Once you start rubbing it on to your skin you can see tiny balls, with slight dirt, as residue.
Huda explains in her video that ‘dead skin cells’ are shredded by this scrub. So I thought I would research👩💻 on this. Turns out this isn’t completely true. Yes there will be some dead skin cells, probably a normal amount which even comes out with a normal face cleanser, but most of it is the cellulose interacting with the oils on your skin to create these residue balls and clumps. 💵 $53 for 100ml, was a bit higher than I expected.
Overall the product was good though I will still be on the lookout for other gentle scrubs.
